I just came accross this interesting topic. I have, what might be, an intersting observation that has given me a headache since I installed FS, which I have subsequently given up on and just learn to live with it. So here it is then: When I bought FS back in December, I bought a new 1TB NVME M.2 drive specifically for and sole use by FS. It’s drive letter is E: When installing FS, I naturally instructed it to install onto drive E: (got it through MS Store by the way). It wasn’t long before I noticed a large chunk of space on my C: drive had disappeared - (it’s now 621 GB). Investigation showed that ’ Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe ’ had also put itself on the C: drive - and exact copy of what is also installed on the E: drive. Any attempt to delete anything from the C: drive copy results in the same thing happening on the E: drive! As it stands today, the Local Cache folder on both drives is 621 GB. The Community Folder = 203 GB. Even both the Rolling Cache and Manual Cache have duplicated themselves on both drives. YEP, I gave up trying to delete anything from the C:drive. It looks like I might soon have to buy another 1TB (Or maybe a squillion TB !) drive and start trying to move other ‘stuff’ off of the C: drive to make some room…
Happy flying peoples
