I would add, though, that the impact of using symbolic links can be big especially if FS2020 uses them a lot to access data, and especially if the C drive is a spinning drive. Latencies can go way up since the program has to read the link to find the true location and incurs latencies each access.
Full install on a different drive without symbolic links will be faster but hard to say how significant it will be.
If C is an m.2, a full install on C without symbolic links would be fastest. I moved my official and community folders to a new FS2020 folder on a different drive and edited the UserCfg.opt file to point to the new location. It’s a hybrid but works well and doesn’t incur all the delays accessing links.
