C152X Realism Mod

You put it on your community folder right ? You did not overwrite anything right ? If the mod is installed your default tail number should be different then without it.
Also make sure you have the latest version of the mod.

Will check and reinstall again. Thanks.

These things work nicely for simulation too
It was fun and totally doable with older versions of Flight Simulator even, but FS2020 is just VFR oldskool heaven, and the 152 is great for that.

That chart is from 2003 though, need to crosscheck data with skyvector before flying

Yeah, VFR pilotage is a lot of fun in MFS for sure. One of the first things I did was pull out the Oshkosh NOTAM, and fly the Fisk arrival into KOSH, including a couple of holding patterns around Green Lake.

So to be clear
does this mod work with the newest version of MFS?
Thanks

That thing looks broken. Where’s the direct-to button?

The knob at top of dashboard labelled Vol/dim is for the display brightness of the NAV/COM radios. The volume portion of this knob is inoperative.

If the NAV/COM (or ADF) radios are off, they must be turned on by rotating the Volume/Off knob on the NAV/COM (or ADF) radio itself. On the NAV/COMs it is on the bottom left of each unit, labelled ‘OFF’ and ‘PULL TEST’. This must be rotated clockwise to turn the radio on.

The knob at the top of the dashboard only adjusts the brightness of the NAV/COM frequency displays once the radios are turned on.

I just updated to the latest version of MSFS (1.9.3.0) and loaded the aircraft to test. So far I have not seen any problems. I am continuing to work on some improvements.

(At the moment I have no other related mods or liveries etc installed.)

Ey DRF, just wondering, hypothetically, for the sake of simplicity, would it be hard to copy-paste a DME from another plane to the 152?

The OBS To/From indicator seems to not work from a cold and dark start. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Is this a bug with the mod? I haven’t tested this with the stock aircraft yet.

The indicator works fine if you start hot on the runway.

Hopefully it is possible to get the Honeycomb Alpha Yoke to work without resorting to changing these values.

I don’t have this type of yoke, but a user has posted a possible solution/workaround on another forum:

https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/583693-c152x-realism-mod/page/13/?tab=comments#comment-4367697

Possibly this may help some people get it working.

Interesting, I’ll give a look at LINDA.

On another topic, I’ve claimed earlier in the thread that when the C152X mod was on, the GNS530 on other planes (the classic C172 for example) refused to turn on; well I’ve tried to make sure if was still a thing before talking to you about it again, and
it’s working Ok today. So I don’t know
Maybe having also the G1000 mod v0.3 made a difference ? Or maybe C152X was clashing with an older version of the G1000 mod ? Anyway, sorry if that was some misleading information.

In the hope Github may see this
thanks for the good work on the C152.
A couple of questions :- Should the transponder digits illuminate ?
Any possibility of a working Fuel Switch to avoid using unrealistic
Cntrl+e to startup. ( I will contact Zendesk about this)

Are you saying you can’t move the fuel lever from off to on in the 3D cockpit? I havn’t had that problem in the mod. Just in case, and not trying to be too basic, but the fuel cutoff is located against the little rise in the floor, and not flush with the floor. It’s kinda hard to see honestly

All I have is a non-op graphic
not a working switch.

The lever def moves for me. Maybe reinstall the mod, or try without? Its def hard to see so make sure you’re clicking in the right spot.

This is a problem in the default C152 since before the Japan update. I have not flown the C152 since, and haven’t installed the C152X yet (although I was kind of hoping that the C152X would fix this issue–guess not).

Which problem?

Guys, please quote the message you’re responding to (select the appropriate text and hit the quote button that appears).

The fuel definitely works. I just used it last night (after attempting to start it with it in the off position  )
