C172 autopilot issue

Thank you, I did try that, have everything off except for using the bravo AP button to toggle it on, and the alpha yoke red button for off. So weird! never did this until recently, and only this plane.

What sim commands are you using with the Bravo?
Do you have a separate control profile for the 172?
Does it matter what state you spawn in, gate or runway?

And now, with no new interventions or changes by me, and after probably a week of having the problem - I fire it up and it works just fine. I am confused, but will take it I guess? Thanks for the input, all.

I just started seeing this the other day on a new machine / clean setup of MSFS and adding new Honeycomb h/w. C-172 std - AP on from launch, unable to successfully turn it off with any of the techniques suggested above. Additionally, I found the stock A320 was not responding to AP flight level change in direct alt mode. Everything had been working the first few days, then suddenly started having issues.

After seeing the issue on the A320 - I took another look at the Bravo. The AP mode knob ( left dial ) was set to V/S. I set it back to ALT and that fixed everything.

Double check your AP mode knob on the Bravo top panel - and maybe set it to ALT instead of another mode when you first load a flight. Still sounds like a bug - but this fixed it for me.
