C172 G1000 Back course (BC) function is broken in MSFS2024

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

When flying a LOC back course approach (such as KSMX LOC-A Back course) and arming the BC function, it does not arm as expected, instead "LOC” and “GS” show as white/armed, and then the aircraft does not capture the LOC.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

  1. Fly KSMX LOC-A Back course Approach

  2. Arm BC

  3. BC will not function as expected and as in msfs2020, instead LOC/GS will arm and LOC will not be captured
