ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Description of the issue:
The lower approximately 25% of the throttle range is not useable / effective. At min throttle, engine RPM is around 620. The lower portion of the throttle doesn’t affect engine RPM until it’s advanced maybe 25% into its range. It takes about a third of the throttle range to get in the area where you might be able to start taxi, say 1000 RPM. This is using a mouse to control the lever, but the behavior is also the same when using a linear mapped peripheral axis.
The lower portion of the throttle range should be useful, and while I do not have experience in real life in this plane, discussions with people that do also feel this is modeled inaccurately.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Every time.
REPRODUCTION STEPS
Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:
-
Load cold and dark into any parking spot and start the engine normally. Move throttle to idle, mixture to full rich, and insure parking brake is on.
-
Advance the throttle and monitor engine RPM in the right MFD. Note the range of the throttle lever before engine RPM is impacted.
