Brief description of the issue:

I’d stumbled over this during SU13 Beta and had difficulty replicating it:
C208 Requires External Power Switch > Starter > On for Battery Start - Alpha/Beta Archive / SU13 Beta Archive - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums

At that time, I’d had the issue on my laptop. Today, while replicating other bugs, I loaded C&D into the C208 on my desktop and experienced the same issue. In the video the sim was in Safe mode.

In order to get the starter to run, I have to toggle on External Power Switch > Starter. This is regardless of their being available external power on not.

In the video, I am at an uncontrolled airport with no available external power. Note all switches set for start, yet the starter is not operating until I switch on External Power.

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

On a fresh install (this would be wisest, I believe) load C&D into the C208 at an uncontrolled airport with no GPU service and attempt to start it.

No

I tested this multiple times and cannot reproduce.

Fresh install of the sim, or the aircraft?

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

N/A

I was suggesting the sim. However, a fresh install of the aircraft might suffice, as well, provided any files that are compiled upon load of the aircraft are deleted as part of the reinstall.

It’s a weird bug to reproduce. If you read my original post from SU13 beta, you’ll see even I had difficulty reproducing it (on my laptop) and asked for the bug to be closed.

However, since I had not used the C208 on my desktop, ever, since I installed the sim, I believe the bug happened because of this fact.

The bug has happened on two different versions of the sim on two different computers both with 100% vanilla, Safe mode configurations.
