C208 still has bugs

After SU1

  • Cessna C208, walk around and remove items now works.
  • Auto Pilot Vertical Speed gets stuck at cruise, can’t toogle minus feet i.e. descend with vertical speed.

Working fine on my end. Select the desired altitude then hit VS and then select the desired vertical speed.

It would also be nice to see it re-appear in the Aircraft List on the EFB

Here’s the scenario:

Fly from Departure KSTS (Santa Rosa) to KSJC (San Jose).

Before take off.

  • Autopilot Altitude to 9500 feet.

After take off

HDG 120 to intercept GPS track clicking NAV

Altitude VS to 1000 feet/minute.

  • Let the autopilot climb to 9500.
  • Autopilot goes from VS to ALT (hold) at 9500 feet.
  • Stay on cruise ALT 9500 for 10 minutes.
  • About 40nm out toggle Autopilot ALT to 2500 feet.
    Here’s where the bug appears:
    I’m at 9500 feet with autopilot programmed to 2500 feet.
  • Hitting VS the wheel gets stuck at +1000 feet.
    Tried the following.
    Disable autopilot and turn it back on - didnt work.
    Disable autopilot while ALT is 9500 and toogle to 2500 feet with autopilot off then turn on autopilot click VS turn VS wheel - didnt work still stuck.
  • So I get the error when climbing with VS and holding ALT at 9500 and cruising with autopilot for some time (10 minutes) before trying to descend.

I’m forced to manual descent for now…

Update: Now it works!

Gave it another try. This time I used the VS hotkeys ( CTRL + HOME / CTRL + END ) in addition and now both the mouse interaction with the VS wheel and the hotkey works.

To clearify. To fix C208.

  1. Empty the FS2024 cache
  2. Reinstall FS2024
