If that is what works best for you then just stick with it imho. I still think that Link works a bit better than VD or Air Link but maybe that’s because I have a rtx4090 and a Z790 mb. You can see my current Link, ODT, nvidia, win11, and msfs settings here;
The main thing to note is that while TAA can def give you better cockpit clarity, dlss/balanced will generally be smoother and produce less distant shimmering. The secret to improve dlss/balanced cockpit clarity to almost TAA levels is to add a little extra super sampling (pixel density in ODT). I use 1.20x and this seems to help a lot.
Unfortunately you cannot do this using VD (because it doesn’t have the official Oculus sdk), only with Link or Air Link. The only way I can get VD to get smooth stutter-free results is to add SSW, but this produces too many ugly artifacts above my heli rotor or single engine aircraft prop (clouds and tops of buildings). Might work better with a twin engine plane with clear sky.
Again, everyone’s systems, settings, and preferences are different so you just need to find out what works best for you imho. Cheers.
