It’s an interesting idea. Have code generate the texture disc that’s used to represent a spinning prop. As long as users are given the option of real vs camera artifacts, like with lens flare. This is a personal preference. Some want it to look like a video. I personally prefer the real look, which is to say, hardly anything to see at all. That’s why I’m working through the prop planes and making new, uniformly blurred prop textures. Helps in VR also.
BTW, you don’t need expensive photoshop. GIMP, and paint.net both have radial/circular blur filters and can export to compressed DDS files.
