Welcome to the 231st flight in Gunpilot’s new SHORTER series of Challenging flights, The longest running event series in MSFS2020/24 multiplayer flights.
Flight Details:
The moment the starter gives the signal, the two teams of Bell 407 pilots will launch off the pad like caffeinated dragonflies, their rotor blades set to thunder through the Bay Area air as if trying to out‑shout each other. Their mission will be to tear around San Francisco at breakneck speed (one team clockwise, the other anti-clockwise), hunting down landmarks like hyperactive tour guides on a deadline. Every waypoint will demand not just a fly‑by but a correct identification — which will lead to some truly questionable radio calls. (“Is that Coit Tower or a very confident chimney?” “Saki, that’s Alcatraz!. Please stop guessing.”) Only after naming each landmark properly will they be cleared to blast off toward the next one, engines ready to whine with the enthusiasm of pilots who absolutely do not want to be the team that gets lost over Fisherman’s Wharf and be the last to get back to the finish line.
As if the sightseeing sprint won’t be chaotic enough, the organiser will sprinkle in a series of “creative” landings — the kind that will make everyone wonder whether the event planner is brilliant, sadistic, or both. Skids will kiss rooftops, helipads, and one suspiciously tiny smoke chimney that will look like it was designed for seagulls, not helicopters. But the pilots will love it. Every landing will become a chance to show off, laugh at each other’s wobbles, and experience the freshly updated Californian sim scenery up close. By the time they reach the final destination, the teams will be buzzing — partly from adrenaline, partly from relief, and partly from the realisation that they’ve just completed the world’s fastest, funniest, least‑educational geography lesson.
