Hello. I’m trying to get as close as possible to training with the PA28 Arrow III (Fairing/Just Flight) and was wondering if any FS2020 users have flown these in real life and would you be so kind as to share the Yoke settings, controls and Rudder Pedals that you have assigned to your accessories, preferably if you have the traditional Saitek, the common one.
I can “guess” how they might feel based on what I interpret from the videos I’ve seen, but it’s probably far from reality.
I will appreciate any collaboration to calibrate curves and sensibility please. Many thanks to the community.
As far as I remember Justflight recommend default sensitivity (a staight line) as that’s what they set up for but you might want to include a small deadzone if the yoke is a bit jittery.
Due to the lack of resistance from the controllers, you won’t get a good similar “feel” for them.
As far as response goes, that is programmed in the actual flight model of the particular sim aircraft.
So, as mentioned above, I would also recommend you go with default settings, so you don’t change those programmed settings.
If you experience any uncommanded events from your controller, than you may need to play around with the in-sim settings
Thank you very much for your answer. A pilot friend of mine told me that the response given by the simulator is too “weak”, and on the other hand, putting it in the default configuration makes the yoke feel very “sticky” if you understand what I am saying, it is difficult to explain, as in some parts lack reaction and in others it just jumps (usually near the center), I have enlarged the dead zone but it looks more like an arcade than a simulator. The yoke works fine, I don’t see it vibrating in the windows calibration. If I leave the pedals with the default configuration, I have to press the maximum to get the plane to move where I want on the runway when taxiing. Anyway, thank you very much for the answer, I will try again making a backup of my configuration and leaving everything by default. It is also true that every “x” updates, I always find myself with an unpleasant surprise in terms of how the program works. Greetings from the South of Argentina!
Yes, Your friend is probably correct.
However as mentioned it can only really be made proper by correcting the particular aircraft’s coding.
The jump in the center can be seen in the sensitivity screen in the Control Options.
It is shown as a flat line. it can be removed by taking out the deadzone.
You don’t need to leave the default settings, especially if you are using controls that respond as you rudders are.
It sounds like they need some settings adjustments
There are two sensitivity settings for each axis.
Play with them until you get the rudders to respond better.
Good luck - from Atlantic Canada
Many Thanks DensestSnail693. I Try again.
