Callsigns not tied to aircraft?

Just started a flight in a C172 and ATC acknowledged me as “New Zealand 445”, a flight number I had previously used in the A320.

Is it just me, or has Asobo not yet figured out that the callsign should be specific to the aircraft/livery?

Call signs for a specific aircraft, if they were entered correctly in the aircraft cfg file, are used.
If they weren’t, that may be the cause.
The sim was created with an easy override feature from the Main Menu.
From the aircraft selection menu - customization, ensure nothing is entered.
This section is used first by the sim.
If nothing is here, it will use that of the aircraft cfg.

The problem is that the callsign which you select in the UI gets assigned to all aircraft, not just the one currently selected.

That is the idea, if you want to override the .cfg file, complete the customization section.
Since you don’t, ensure the customization section is empty.
The sim will default to the .cfg file setting if the UI customization section is vacant.
