Have you reset your camera settings to the factory default?
It rotates around what’s known as the reference datum. It’s the 0x0x0 coordinate in the model. That point is different for each plane. If you want to know about where it is, look at the contact points. The position coordinates for those are based on the reference datum position.
That’s how it was after the reinstall by default.
In this case why didn’t they just center for perfect rotation around the planes in all the models ? Isn’t it makes sense ?
It has to do with the way the 3D model was constructed. Different developers have different techniques.
Maybe you need to right click on the plane to “unzoom” itself from the focus zoom mode?
Zoomed or not it’s still not centere 
Im not sure if you are talking about same thing but as I realized, when you use “reset camera” button, view orients towards flight direction (looks towards where plane flights to) instead of plane’s nose. And due to wind direction / strength it may be rotated several angles on drifting flight position.
(ok , you are talking about another thing, rotating pivot of the camera. I’ll keep this comment here since lots of people were complaining about not centering the plane with reset camera button (: )
What I mean by resetting the camera is not the one from the top bar menu. But the one from the game’s Camera Options/Settings. Usually you can move around the center point and position of the camera from that setting, so if it’s changed (for any reason) it could be not centered. That’s why I suggest to reset all the camera settings including their positioning and zoom level.
Either that, of if you have any mods that changes how the camera is set up that might be causing the issue.
