Can Asobo Please Improve Default Airports?

The data alone will never be enough. For the vast majority of small airports (we’re talking well over 10,000), there is very little available public data and what does exist is fairly sparse (especially with regard to taxiways and aprons), is not updated very often, and is usually submitted by the airport manager, which has varying degrees of formality.

Runways are about the only “sure” data that exist, and even then…

What you need is a master airport layout plan (ALP), but most airports don’t have a formal ALP, at least not one that’s up to date (it costs a lot to have it surveyed and drafted), and the ones that do are usually not publicly available unless there’s some sort of expansion project going on.
