No issues installing with community folder empty. Have been using the backspace key to turn on/off the HUD when in external camera mode. This no longer works. The HUD is permanently displayed unless I permanently turn it off in OPTIONS. That isn’t what I want. Want it like it was before the Sim Update 5…able to turn it on and off.
I never realised you can show and hide external HUD using a key binding by default. Are you using an external third-party app to manage that show/hide HUD?
This was never a game option, that was made by a mod from this package: GitHub - mixMugz/msfs2020-uimod: Little UImod for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020
You probably have it installed and didn’t even remember =)
The mod no longer works, the creator is aware and is planning an update

Yeah, it’s sad when MS/Asobo improve the sim that so many things get broken. I guess that’s the plight of the 3rd party developers (I love 'em)! I’ve removed all of my mixMugs add-ons, but miss being able to toggle the HUD the very most. Will just patiently wait…
