Can some one explain how i backup the installation path?

This guide is not acurate anymore. In my pc store version the folder C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages does not exist anymore.

Anyone has a good guide how move pagage to another folder when going to beta?

this is the folder for 2024:
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe
The one in the how to is for 2020

Thanks. How do i backup the game then? Just copy the packages folder to different location on C:\ drive?

The rest is the same as in the how to, so yes you could just copy it over to another location and point MSFS to that new folder afterwards.

Moved to User Support Hub since question is not specific to SU1.

moving the packages folder does not give me the option to browse. Your sure about the location? The folders are empty
This is in my folder localcache

If you want to point MSFS2024 to the new location, instead of copying your backup back to the original location, you can set the new folder in the “Marketplace”-> “My Library”-> Settings-wheel:

This folder should then contain what is in your packages folder.

Maybe also backup the ROLLINGCACHE.CCC, as that’s where MSFS2024 actually stores it’s streamed data. You can point MSFS2024 to a different folder for that as well in the settings menu where you can set the size of it.
