I am no programmer and can’t pretend to understand, but when I look at the camera system and you have a drone app that can place one outside of the aircraft and at various positions, then be locked or unlocked to the aircraft - why can’t a shortcut key be programmed where the drone camera can be put outside of the airplane in a stationary position some distance in front without having to meddle with a menu just to get a flyby? It doesn’t seem hard! I can’t even use the flyby feature of the FCR because I’m flying with SmartCars on a VA trip. By the time I land, I’m not going back to rewatch it all.
And to add that - was there any reason why the sim can’t record absolutely everything, then only choose to save it at the end so we don’t have to hit record every time? I don’t know if I’m going to want a replay or not until I finish what I’m doing - then it’s too late to see that landing. Why should I have to hit record for every landing only to view some of them?
These are small oversights that I would have though would be considered from comments out of 2020 - ones that every other sim has taken for granted. Has anyone here ever tried a flyby camera in Xplane? The doppler effect on those engines is nearly true to life! Flyby? One button…as many times as you like…live. Replay? Don’t have to remember…the entire flight is recorded for you. One button.
