2024 gives us a tantalising glimpse of a flyby view when we press ESC to the menu - the camera zooms way out from the aircraft. I simply don’t understand why this request has been overlooked for so long. I agree with the above comment that maybe mixing tower view into this makes it less likely for consideration by Asobo.
Incidentally my AAO flyby camera scripts work in 2024 and I added a couple of new variations for flyby on left/right.
