Thanks for that! Just downloaded and it works like a dream. Cheers mate
The only issue I have with ModManFx, is one you you added MOD, I cannot see a way to remove it, except to may be rename it, or go in and edit about 4 folders and an .ini file, to remove that MOD from ModManFx.
maybe I am missing it … if you figure it out , please let me know.
All that you are asking for and more is already available with this:
Super little FREE program. Easy to install and use. Will solve all your CF problems.
Beyond being a grateful user,I have no relation to the author whatever.
If this has already been mentioned, sorry but no harm done!
Thanks … looks good – may well give it a try,

Yes. Goodly little program. As well as allowing for addons to be arranged more logically, it makes ‘clearing out’ the CM in prep for a patch [and back again] a simple matter of a few ticks.
Regards.
MSFS already has a way to organize your sceneries. it’s actually right within the content manager.
Everything that is in your community folder will show a small community logo right next to each scenery entry.
it looks like so far this is the only possible way to find happiness within the current mess
That is not at all what they are asking here.
They (well, including me) want a custom (or a better than current) folder structure in the community folder. Right now if you have a lot of add-ons it’s a mess. Good luck trying to find back your add-on you want to uninstall.
I know there are ways around this, but it would still be good to have a native way to do this.
absolute must +1
Why don’t you go ahead and write it? You seem to be very sharp in several subjects. This good be a good way to contribute. Cheers
You are replying to a post back in Sept 2020, where I suggest that some form of Community Folder management would be a good idea.
Well, now is June 2021, and there are now, multiple solutions that have been developed in the 9+ months since I made the suggestion.
I would like to organize the Community folder into subcategories for each aircraft model to place the liveries into such as A320, B747, etc. Right now, if you create a sub folder, MSFS can’t find them.
I bought the Simple Traffic add-on and all the liveries have made a mess of the Community folder.
Would be nice if I could place them all into a sub folder such as Aerosoft Traffic
OMG – way to complex and unusable for most…
Just download and use the Addon Linker …
100,000 + downloads – Must be doing something right !!
This is the answer. Top 5 sim addon.
