Can we please seriously discuss quality management?

OK, first off, in my opinion, using pet names for Asobo in an effort to be both cute and insulting at the same time is childish. So, don’t do that. Please.

Now that we’ve covered that, overall I found your post intellectually interesting and engaging, even if I was left somewhat confused by it. For example, in your discussion re: Azure, if you’re correct about it’s upcoming infrastructure improvements dragging along with them across the board performance and stability increases, that would qualify as good news, indeed. Having said that, as a non-expert on Azure, so far as I can tell the only thing MSFS is using that “product” for is text to voice for ATC (and doing it poorly as they only use about 3-4 voices out of several hundred their website brags are available), so I don’t see how that translates to performance and stability increases across the totality of the sim. Can you clarify?

Next subject, I too have noticed that some things seem to change from week to week, and in between patches for the product, but in my case they’ve usually been good, generally noticeable increases in performance. To the extent that they’ve negatively affected scenery or haze, if it’s happened to me, I haven’t noticed. In fact, I’ve even joked that some big-wig at Asobo must have a secret crush on me, because they send Ninjas in the middle of the night to give me secret performance increasing changes to my sim that the general public isn’t lucky enough to get! But if that’s really back-end changes that won’t be necessary in the short term future due to their infrastructure upgrades, at the risk of being repetitive, that’s good news all the way around. And that does make much more sense than Asobo sending secret Ninjas to my house to give me a special version of the sim!! (I doubt they could get by our security unnoticed, anyway. And if they did, we have dogs that aren’t shy to make their displeasure known when there are secret Ninjas traipsing around.)

Finally, to the 800 lb. gorilla which is your post being censored. (At least I think it’s an 800 lb. gorilla anyway), it’s no secret that I absolutely detest this feature, and I think it gives far too much power to relatively small groups of folks when the only offense you’re guilty of committing is hurting their feelings. I do wish they’d disable it, but I suspect that’s not going to happen, but here’s the good news- Rather than making your censored post less likely to be read, it actually has the opposite effect of making it more likely, as people in general can’t resist the temptation to find out exactly why it got censored in the first place. In fact, I suspect the abnormally high number of hidden posts in this thread is why we’re limited to only one response every 15 minutes. Having said that, it’s pure speculation on my part as I possess no insider knowledge on the inner workings of the forum’s logic.

It’s my suggestion that people stop complaining about posts unless there is an actual rules violation, because you’re only accomplishing the opposite of what it is you want to accomplish, which is to have less people read the posts you’re complaining about. I doubt anybody is going to listen to me, as I envision a group of pre-pubescent teens in a Discord chatroom somewhere giving each other virtual high fives for having BubbaBlitz’s post censored, but maybe if they realize it’s not accomplishing what they want it to, they might actually listen to me.

(I frequently forget that many users of both the sim and forum are not mature adults, a mistake I make in other places that deal with sweet rigs and gaming in general as well. It also explains why comments like “Hey, it’s cheap and easy to just upgrade your rig to 32GB of RAM” go over like lead balloons, when you forget that your audience is spending their parent’s money, and they have no control over whether or not they can get a memory upgrade in the first place. But, I digress.)

Anyway, since I can’t post another response for 15 more minutes, I’m off to either find another thread to read, or to do what I really should do, which is to go flying. I spend too much time here as it is.

Have a lovely day!
