I agree with the original post. I just wonder if there is some monetary incentive for Asobo to meet these "artificial " dates. Stabalize and move ahead slowly as a programner, analyst and manager in IT for over 42 years, I learned.
Yes, but it’s also true that the same team of developers will now have to deal with bugs and development requests on XBOX (a shiny new source of revenue and publicity that will bring press coverage, many users stressing the servers that already can’t handle multi-player smoothly, etc) and that will stretch them even more than already…so I expect development and code fixes for the core sim (not world updates, but the stuff you are talking about to improve performance and functionality) to slow down unless they use some of that new XBOX-derived revenue to grow the size of the team and maybe try to collapse some of the “branches” that appear to have become unmanageable (they have commented on this a few times now to this effect). It was helpful on the Dev video update yesterday to hear that memory/CPU optimization is coming and they made meaningful progress there as part of XBOX development and so that will also benefit PC when it is rolled out.

While we understand the frustration, as far as quality management and communication, this was address by a CM here:
