I’ve been enjoying the new flightsim so far and mostly been flying with the 172. I noticed the windows are always dirty and have smudges. Is there anyway to disable the dirt and debris effects on the windows?
Hey @MindZEdge79! Hope you’re well.
At this time you cannot disable the scratches, smudges, etc. on the windows. However, it doesn’t look like anybody has created a post in the #self-service:wishlist category. If you’d like, create a post there so others can vote on it too. I would also recommend editing your original post here with the link of the newly created post if you do decide to take that route. I agree that sometimes the effects can be in the way! Especially the scratches.
Thank you! Yeah I didnt think we could adjust it. Ill go ahead and create a post in the self service wishlist. Have a great day!
Somehow, the scratches and muck on there give it a feeling of abuse/use, i guess that was the first intent. As previous versions had smudges that were supposed to be the glare coming off the instruments or reflections from the interior that looked hidious, i can understand your sorrow… yet i dont see a fix coming in the near future. Unless someone knows how to scrape that layer off of the windscreen.
I just found that the pilot window (left, under the wing) gets wet when the 152 is standing still… whereas said wing should keep that particular window dry when the rain is dropping down vertically
