When I was 5 (53 years ago), my dad and I paid a nickel each to go through a turnstile and then up some steps to a rooftop observation platform on top of the original GSO terminal. From there, I watched my grandparents board a Piedmont YS-11 before it started up and taxied away. I still remember the ear-splitting whine of those Darts to this day. No video can do that justice! If a YS-11 is done for the sim with a good Wwise sound set, I’ll probably buy it just to start it up and listen to those engines!
