When trying to launch the game from the XBox App, I get the following message… "Windows cannot access the specified device path, You may not have the appropriate permission to access the item. ERROR CODE 0x800704c7

i have the same issue. i changed the install folder for c:\games, i am using windows 11 24h2, msfs 2020 works well on the same folder, i just formated my computer 2 weeks ago, so fresh install. ran dism and scf…
the only way i can make it work is : uninstall, reinstall. after the reinstall the first time i lunch the game it works, but if and when i exit game, all subsequent attemps are failed with this error message. if i uninstall and reinstall then im good for the first time.
tried also to reset xbox apps, uninstall xboxapps etc… same results.
tried also to pla arround with permission of the c:\games\msfs2024 folder, ran as admin etc… no luck here.
tried to reset and scan msfs2024 files, this option is not working.
tried also to move the installation folder to my e drive, same results.

i had changed a week ago the install location folder… this week isntallation was fine at first install… buyt when relaunching a seocnd time it failed. so i moved installation folder on my E drive… same issue with cannot access drive… so i moved it back with my c drive, using xbox move option, now its working over and over… no issue aparrently.
I also have the same issue. I’ve installed and uninstalled 3 times in 3 different locations with the same error message. I have administrator account which doesn’t seem to matter. I’m at a loss on what to do.
