Cannot Continue or Restart a failed Bush Flight

Are you using Developer Mode or made changes in it?

No and no add-ons of any kind.

Brief description of the issue:

When a Bush Flight crashes, MSFS offers “continue” for the leg. That continue option places the plane in an unflyable position; e.g. deep within a thick forest. No number of tries helps to correct the issue. A restart of the entire leg also fails. The leg restarts, again, deep in the forest and with no flight directions.
The only solution is backing up a couple legs and re-flying both legs to get the trip back on track.

See below the result of the leg restart.

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

Fly a mid-Breckenridge/Nevada bush flight leg and crash. It has happened twice to me on the route; once due to my laptop going into power-saving mode which zaps the performance of the processors and once when I didn’t notice I was stressing out the plane (note to self: keep checking the gauges when sightseeing).
