Just downloaded sim from MS Store but cannot see community folder to add files. Must be something I didn’t do any ideas please.
Go to…
Windows File Explorer.
Select Drive you installed MSFS.
Search Drive for ‘community’.
Find…
C/users/xxx/APP DATA/ Local/Packages/Microsoft Flight Simulator
I only have one drive and I tried search in it and nothing?
I looked in users/local to find appdata nothing
also no xxxx or username
Just read that appdata is a hidden file and since this a completely new rebuild I will try that
Here are the most common locations:
MS Store
C:\Users[Your User Name]\AppData\Local\Packages\ Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community
Steam
C:\Users[Your User Name]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightDashboard_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community
Custom Install
If you happened to use a custom location for your Flight Simulator installation, then proceed there. Example: F:\Flight Simulator\Community\
Still can't find it?
- While running MSFS 2020 do the following:
- Go to Options / General
- Click on
Developerswhich you will find at the bottom of the list on the left- Switch Developers Mode on
- On the Dev Menu on top select
Tools > Virtual File System- Select
Packages Folders>Open Community Folder
