Hi! I bought Flight Sim 2020 about a month ago but I need help to get going. I have a fairly new Pc, intel 5 13th gen, 16Gb Ram, 2x1TB SSD on an ASRock motherboard. On my first tries I got a warning that my computer wasn’t up to running the game but a bit of research prompted me to buy an Nvidia GTX970 video card. I can now start the game with one error message, “ended unexpectedly, continue in safe mode or normal mode”. I have not tried Safe Mode so in normal mode I only get as far as the first splash screen “world update Japan” with new activities 4, 3 and 1. I can’t get any further and would love some advice because this is nothing like the much earlier MS Flight Sims I have played for years. Thanks in advance

Maybe the really really old GTX970 is the issue. This card is a 4GB card which can only use 3.5GB of vram. This is far to less of vram for MSFS2020.
I don‘t know where’d you get the advice from, but it was a very bad advice …
Look for a graphics card with at least 8GB of vram. Better 12, or even 16. 13th gen intel i5 is also maybe struggling with the compute needed for MSFS2020
Try safe mode and see if you are successful.
