Cannot hear ATC and ATIS on COM2 and COM3

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

I can not hear the ATC and ATIS in COM2 and COM3.
The ATIS stay repeating in 1 sec.
I can send message with ATC panel and I can hear my avatar, but the atc responding in 1 sec without sound.
Only in COM2 and COM3.

Hi. In SU4, with 2 different aircraft, I can tune ATIS and get the text version. The sound is just a series of mic keys about 1 second apart. Tested at KTKI and KADS. Also KORD (O’Hare) same problem.

On Discord I see others are having spotty COM2 function. so maybe not an SU4 beta bug.

ATIS comes in normally on COM1

This doesn’t happen at KSFO in either aircraft. Anyone else getting normal ATIS on COM2?

Same issue in SU4 for me on COM2, exactly as you described. KCMA and KHHR I’ve tested so far but seems like its everywhere

@Jonjonis90 : are you having this issue with an aircraft in particular or with all aircraft ?
Does the aircraft on your screenshot is the 1st party piper-pa-28 or a 3rd party aircraft ?

I tried this out with the default 172 and the comm 2 was working fine.

It was with the COWS DA42 I was not able to listen to COM 2 ATIS, but was able to read the text in the atc panel. All that is audible is the squelch noise every time the ATIS message sends, which is about once every 3 seconds.

Have you checked on the COWS forum (if there is one) if others users have reported the same issue ?, if not to also report it there.

This also happens with the new blacksquare baron that just released. Same as the OP originally described though, on COM2 you cannot hear ATIS and if you talk to ATC on COM2 you cannot hear their responses.

In order for a report to be valid and stay in the Bug Reporting Hub > Aircraft & Systems issue needs to be reproducible with a 1st party aircraft. If issue happens with a 3rd party aircraft it should be reported to the 3rd party developers that will then contact the devs through a dedicated support forum.

The issue is reproducible with Asobo 737 Max. You can’t hear the screenshot of course but it’s just spamming the ATIS text and an audio crunch about every second: (SU4)

Just did a test with the C172 (G1000) and from my understanding it does not work as expected:
In order to hear the ATIS on com2, both com1 & com2 must be active. You should hear the ATIS with com1 active or not.. If you disable com1 then you just hear a squelch noise.

In the default PA28, you just hear the squelch noise if ATIS is tuned on com2, com1 active or not.
