It has absolutely nothing to do with any of this. It happens mid flight after not having any issue while on ground, takeoff or ascent. It just happens at some random point during the flight.
Unless my co-pilot is fiddling with the switches while my back is turned. Yeah, that’s probably it.
I know when you posted it. And yet all these months later, here we are. The problem is worse than ever and, unfortunately, it isn’t the volume switch or my co-pilot.
Please can the topic and votes from Cannot hear and see ATC instructions be merged with this. There are many topics raised in the forum regarding this issue and the votes are spread all over the place. It needs consolidation.
This problem had been repeatedly reported for the last six months with no sign of remedy.
After reaching cruise altitude i only hear my or my co-pilot reply to the ATC controller. But i don’t hear the ATC controller him/herself. Also no ATC from other aircraft anymore. Azure is still online
I seem to get this specifically after tuning to an ATIS channel. I get instructions normally then as soon as I use my second channel to tune ATIS, I stop getting any directions of any kind from ATC, and only see responses.
Same issue here. It always occurred when atc voice and pilot or copilot voice are playing at the same time. For instance, I’m doing an assisted briefing and at the same time the atc is giving instruction to another plane. The only solution is to completely restart the sim.
This just started happening on my last 2 flights and I did request a lot of FL changes both times. The need to request many FL changes is a consequence of using the later FBW builds with their integrated flight planner. The native ATC does not know the planned CRZ level and only gives you some minimum safe altitude. You generally need at least 3 FL requests to get to your planned CRZ level. It would be great if one of the FL options was to enter a number. Anyway, good observation on your part, I will give it a try. Thank You
It happens on my end too. The most frequent thing is Azure losing connection (red warning box) then it sounds as if a seven year-old had taken over the ATC! Pilot’s voice sounds weird too.
The ATC going silent situation is maybe not as frequent but it does happened in several instances. I fly A320 and CJ4 mostly.
