I had to uninstall MSFS because the black screen after starting just got stuck, I figured after 15 minutes it was not going to start. I cleared the cloud, repaired the xbox app, even refreshed the data. So uninstalled the xbox app and restarted pc. The xbox app installed and I started MSFS install (Play) but the black screen is there, the little circle in the lower right and when I move the mouse on that screen it is not seen. What else do I need to clear out to do a complete refresh because something has it stuck. Windows 10, I won’t reinstall windows.

You could have saved the uninstallation, these kind of errors have their reason
on your PC.Often these kind of problems disappear as soon as they appeared.

I do have TV so maybe that will help if I get stuck. I know a lot about computers but not with computer games, flight sim is the only one I have played

Actually it did start after a few minutes so this is new. It will be very interesting to see if I just have to wait 5 minutes after the initial start and the first splash screen is seen. Maybe SU10 will help. I just reformatted the computer a month ago and this black screen started about 10 days after that, Before I had everything fine since Aug 2020. Thanks for the help
Well it runs, still takes 8 min after the initial splash screen to the Asobo screen, all black in between. That is fine, maybe it will fix itself someday
That’s good to hear.Did you probably install some addons like photogrammetry with a lot of files?

Other that the a couple of airports and 2 planes nothing else is there. Same issue when everything in the comm folder is removed. I will see what happens with the next update, never know
So this fixed it, in fact MSFS starts very fast now.

I am not sure what Fash Launch option does expect what it sounds like. Anything fast usually means something is bypassed but everthing is working
