Hey all, I use FS2020 whilst sat on my couch mostly controlling with an XBOX controller and keyboard.
The keyboard is an all-in-one keyboard and trackpad for media pc’s. The Logitech K400
The thing is I can’t seem to find a way to zoom in and out of the globe in the pre-flight menu, which is a problem. Does anyone know a way around this?
Am I going to have to connect a mouse? or can I use the trackpad or controller to do this?
Thanks
How do you scroll up and down on web pages using your touchpad? I’m guessing it’s the same was as like you’re using the mouse wheel to scroll.
When scrolling down a web page I have to hold down the left mouse button below the trackpad and drag the bar down on the side of the browser page. Holding the left button down and dragging the globe in FS does nothing
Uhhh… that’s not really what I meant…
Try to use two fingers and do a diagonal gesture starting from the middle of the trackpad and towards the corner of the trackpad. This is usually the gesture used on trackpad to ‘zoom’. You know the same gesture that you use on your phone if you want to zoom in on Google Maps.
Alternatively, you can try to hold two fingers on the trackpad and make up/down motion with both fingers together. This is usually the gesture used as an alternative to using mouse scroll wheel.
Two fingers on the trackpad up/down works! Thanks
Also to clarify my previous post I can rotate the globe by holding down the right trackpad button and moving the globe with the trackpad.
Or you can just tap twice and hold then you can drag the globe around by moving your fingers on the trackpad.
You can watch this to learn on the gestures that you can do with the trackpad. You can be master of the trackpad in no time, improving your efficiency and effectiveness in using it. A friend of mine actually mastered playing FPS games like CS 1.6 back then using the trackpad.
Thanks, although I don’t think the trackpad supports a lot of this functionality.
It’s quite old.
well, you’d be surprised. The Logitech K400 is only 10 years old, and trackpad gestures has been around for quite longer than that. I’ve been using most of these gestures on my 2005 laptop since then but possibly has been around even before that.
I am using a K400 right now and can tell you that multi touch gestures work on the pad. Two finger zoom just as on your phone. No idea if that would work in the sim but it if not, one finger on each side of the pad and and up/down motion is the same as the scroll wheel command on a mouse.
