Cannot push back with AI Pilot

Last night I started a flight at a ramp instead of a runway. I had the checklist pages auto complete and I had ATC on. I got to the point of requesting push back. As soon as I released the parking brake, the C152 rolled forward and crashed into a building. I tried this many times. Sometimes I would apply the brakes so that the push back truck could attach to the aircraft and push back. The push back was then stopped by the AI. At the point that aircraft once again went forward and was uncontrollable and crashed. I noticed that the engine power was high.

Why is this happening? MSFS is turning out to be an expensive mistake for me! I wanted to use the automation to get me into the air from a cold and dark start. Things just aren’t working as I expected them to.

What’s the betting it’s that pesky Flight Assistant again? Have a look in the drop down and make sure AI piloting is turned off and if not then also have a look in the assistance menu to see if anything else got changed by him.

I actually hate the guy.

The trick is to switch the AI off, and keep the brake on when you request pushback, and don’t remove it till you see the aircraft beginning to move back slowly with the pushback. Release the brake, and the pushback speed will go up. I never switch my AI on till I’ve finished pushback.

Not realistic I’m sure, but it gets you moving!

Ah, that might explain why I had almost zero control of the nose-wheel and throttle on the ground and the plane had a mind of it’s own. And in the air it was just following a random flightpath. Also, as soon as I toggled the cursor/pointer on, the plane just nose-dived whilst I got a pop-up on the screen reassuring me that the plane was under the control of AI, or something like that!

honestly it would be way more worth your money if you learned how to do it yourself.

I mean it is a flight simulator after all
