Cannot see my Carenado Seminole in the sim after an update

Hi,
I have run a standard update of the piper seminole in Content Manager. It freezed before the end and I had to restart the sim. The result is that in content manager it appears as it was succesfully updated but I cannot see the aircraft anymore in the hangar.

Any advice to be able to restore the aircraft installation in some way ?

There are several threads about this, but the fix is simple:

  • go into the Official packages folder (it’s next to the Community folder. If you don’t know where the Community folder is, search the internet for “Microsoft Flight Simulator Community folder” and it will explain how to find this folder depending on where you bought the game from)
  • go to OneStore under that
  • delete the existing carenado-aircraft-pa44-seminole folder
  • check for any .fsarchive or .fspatch files in OneStore that also refer to the pa44 and remove them
  • restart MSFS
  • go to Content Manager and re-download the aircraft

@Windrider975 just as this post. I had the same issue. This sorted it for me.

Note that this seems to be an issue with the Marketplace updates that may affect other planes too, so watch out in the future! Hopefully Asobo will fix the glitch and it won’t happen again after future updates…

I was hoping that this was the exact solution I needed for a number of addons bought via the MS Market, that were all working fine, but are now not reinstalling via the Content Manager.

These include Orbx airport titles such as KORS, KBCE, KSBA etc and some of their City Packs, such as London (but not Sydney cityscape).

The M20R Ovation from Carenado is also now showing as Not Installed.

I have followed the above advice and deleted the respective folders from the OneStore Folder, checked for fsarchive or fspatch files, restarted MSFS, re-downloaded all, but still showing as Not Installed with Download Available.

Am I missing a trick here? Any suggestions appreciated as Orbx have little interest in supporting any issues bought via the market, and I’m missing my Mooney!

Cheers Nick

Sorry no, that trick exactly worked for me for both the T-45C and the PA44.

Sorted. It was the system time on my PC. It was one hour out as it hadn’t auto-changed to BST last week (and I hadn’t noticed). I can slowly add back the missing addon airfields and planes now!

I had same problem. Foe me it was that my pc time had not updated. If you look at support issues on Microsoft installation problems they note that your location & time must be correct. Here in the UK we moved to BST & I had noticed my pc had not updated.
So, just check your Windows 10 time settings & sync if necessary.
