As expected, because the servers decided to sign me out of Xbox live when they went down, All i get now is a big black box saying “sign in to Xbox Live” that does not respond to any inputs. It just sits there doing nothing. Is there a solution to this wretchedness?
I’ve moved your topic into installation issues.
Try ALT-ENTER on that screen to see if it brings back the input.

Thank you both, that worked, what a terrible bug to leave unfixed from MS end of things.
It’s an Xbox issue, not MSFS. I’ve reported that to Xbox a long time ago. MSFS isn’t the only game with that Xbox misalignment overlay.
It is an atrocious bug, it leaves the user with no indication that something is happening and the spinning disk loader icon is spinning in the bottom right leaving you to believe that it’s just thinking about something.
If you have the Feedback Hub for Windows 10 (it’s an app - should have been installed by default with Windows), report that through there. That’s what I did. There weren’t too many reporting it that I saw - when I did it.
