Cannot turn on beacon light

For some reason I am unable to turn on the beacon light in any aircraft. I have the alpha yoke for the activation but, even when I delete the switch from the profile it still does not work and tried the switch in the aircraft no go.
I have emptied the community folder and still does not work.

Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

Maybe the physical switch itself went bad?

Is there a Honeycomb utility that you can run to see if the switch is triggering?

I works in the Black Square Caravan analogue. Will try others and see if it is just certain aircraft.

One thing to remember is that third party planes may have other ways of turning on the beacon light, or indeed reacting to any cockpit switch.

For your yoke bindings, you can only bind what Asobo have exposed. Without the sim in front of me, let’s assume that the sim binding is someting like “BEACON LIGHT”. If a plane developer is using some “vanilla” like “SIMCONNECT:BEACON_LIGHT” you might be okay. But if they are using something else entirely like “LVAR:Beacon light” or “B:Beacon-light”, you may find the controller binding does nothing at all. You would then need to use a program like SPAD to get that yoke switch to send the right event to the sim.

And this can vary from plane to plane, or more usually developer to developer.

hobanagerik, thankyou for the info. I never thought of that. Maybe I can just liver with it.
Thanks for the reply.
