As title. I seem to be having trouble getting flights to complete at certain airports.
These are generally the sort of very small airport that is out in the bush and not served by ATC. .(dirt and grass strips in Africa for example)
I land, taxi to somewhere that looks like it might be a parking spot. Turn everything off and…nothing happens. I have to escape out of the flight back to main menu to finish the flight.
These still mostly seem to get logged. (Although I’ve had a couple that appear as “vicinity” in the log book which I guess is me NOT actually landing at an airport at all. Had one of these in the snowy wastes of former Soviet Union at a snowed over grass strip. Pretty much impossible to tell where the actual strip was)
But this also happens at places with well defined strips where I have identified the correct runway and landed on it.
Me too. I really hate being thrown out of the flight partway though the shutdown procedure. I wish Asobo would get rid of that, or at least provide a way to turn it off.
Yes. I’ve never been able to complete a shut down checklist. Even at “good airports” you get kicked to menu at engine/avionics off.
At rural “unattended” strips which Asosbo have forgotten about you can shut down everything…then power up fly around…land and shut down again and still never see the “yup, you actually landed” page.
And yes. I see these different behaviours with the same aircraft so it’s not aircraft specific. It’s either location specific or action specific.
Taxi off the runway, announce to “ATC” that you are clear of the runway, then shutdown. That will trigger it. In some cases, continuing to taxi to parking is enough to break this though, but parking up the second you get the option to announce your are clear always works.
