Can't complete training basic handling BUG

There seems to be a bug while flying the Cesna in first training missions the red stick next to the throttle (i think its called mixture) keeps popping out and shutting down the throttle. I am new to MSFS and not sure what the mixture is for yet. But all I know is whenever you trying to set it it pops all the way out shutting off engines.

Can we fix this?

It is most likely you have one of the mixture control settings bound to a button or axis on one of your peripherals, and that keeps overriding your desired setting.

Check your controls menus and see if you can find it.

Oh ok sounds good will try that ty friend. But it looks like it was a bug in the past. Hope they got it fixed.

I will try doong what you said and see if it fixes it by unbinding. As being new to MSFS im not even sure what this mixture does but I find it weird that the instructor never mentioned it training.

You can tell that issue was fixed because the link you provided says “resolved”, and that thread is also shown as “fixed on live”.
By far, the most likely explanation was Provided by @BigCow74
As far as what the mixture control does, you can start with this information:
“ * Mixture control - Sets the amount of fuel added to the intake airflow. At higher altitudes, the air pressure (and therefore the oxygen level) declines so the fuel volume must also be reduced to give the correct air–fuel mixture. This process is known as “leaning”.”

TY friend for this!

will check thise bindings using Hotas X52 pro so will check. Does anyone possible know which control settings menu the mixture settings would be under?

I’m not in the sim today, but my recommendation would be to go into the control options for your controller, then toward the lower left side make sure it’s viewing “all” (look for where it’s probably saying “assigned” and change that to “all”.
Then above that area there are boxes to do searches. Do a search by name (or something like that) and search for “mixture” and it should show you everything assigned to that control. That should let you see if you have something that’s shutting it off. Might check for an assigned axis that is physically in the off position on your controller.
Wish I could be more specific, but I’m trying to do it by old memory!
I think once you get into the controls area you’ll see what I’m trying to say.

Ok i will try this ty so much for all the information. I am still learning how to use the Hotas X52 Pro with this. Seems like you have to map your buttons again although MSFS does recognize it immediately seems like some buttons are off but this helps alot ty guys.

Mixture simulation in MSFS is very unrealistic as it’s still based on the ancient FSX simulator. Suggest you select auto mixture in the realism menu. This is unfortunately more realsistic.
