ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: It is impossible to duplicate or rename a custom control setup since I installed SU3 Beta 1.5.4

Did you experience this issue before you joined the Beta? No, it started after I installed SU3 Beta 1.5.4

2.Try to duplicate or rename a setup

Same issue here after SU3 Beta 1.5.4. Duplicate option is enabled but new profile does not appear. All I can do is create a new empty profile which is useless really given the sheer number of settings I want to keep from an existing one.

Removed latest beta and works as expected.

@mike57Pilot : is that the same issue than reported here ?: Hardware settings unusable - creates a new preset with each change that is already bug-logged ?

Display Controls
Click Duplicate
Duplicate screen displays.
Enter new Preset name.
Save and Back.

Enter Controls
Click right or left arrow
New Preset is not there.

This should be in the Bug Category.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

I just noticed that when I rename any “Airplane” type profile in the Controls system, the newly named profile is not being saved, and only the original named profile is there on re-entering the Controls setup system.

It may well do the same for “General” items, I have not tested that.

Also the original option to “Set as default” is totally missing, and there is STILL NO OPTION to NOT SAVE a profile (Hit Esc or whatever) which REALLY IS ESSENTIAL to avoid saving a profile that contains an accidental incorrect setting.

1.Select Settings/Controls and any section therein
2.Make a change if required (Not essential)
3.Click * and select Rename, and CHANGE THE NAME OF THE CURRENT ITEM .
4. Exit settings system as usual TO SAVE IT.
5. repeat 1,
6. 6.look for newly named profile

it will not be there, only the original one

A “feedback logged” would be acknowledgement that there is a serious problem with Controls UI.

1.enter a fligh with the Asobo 125
2.press escape and select command
3.select joystick
4. duplicate generale command profile
and fail

In beta 3 rename, delete, or duplicate device profiles doesn’t work for all devices incl keyboard and mouse for me. Also i can’t make new profiles…
I can only edit existing profiles!

Some serious work needs to be done with the Control Setup. Not tried to use it for a few months till tonight and now, as others have said, it is totally broken. A new team needs to be put onto this as whoever is meant to be doing it have shown how woefully out of their depth they are. A new set of eyes needed and a fundamental root and branch redesign.

Even when it was working it was pitifully slow and clunky.

Probably an external Windows app created by people who know how to design a UI would be better. It would be lightning fast compared to this junk.

Same here. Can’t duplicate.

Also a pain trying to change a binding: sometimes it saves, sometimes not.

Every time I change/make a binding, it asks me to enter name for ‘new profile’. I have made a new profile - I want it to change that one.

And: Very slow loading changing profiles. Was not like that before.

I think the control setup is ok. Easy to duplicate and make a new profile quickly that sticks to a particular A/C.
But then it has to work!
Now its very buggy and a pain to work with.
Cloud issue?

What you describe is really not a duplicate of a Preset.
You want to change a binding in a Preset.

I have 2 Presets: a General and Airplane Preset for my flight stick.

Whenever it displays the that “new profile” screen, just backspace the name and then enter the name of your existing Preset.

Also, Duplicate & Rename are not working now. They will not save.
