My friend has the steam version and I used to have the gamepass version, now I also have the steam version.
When I had the gamepass version we already had issues playing together because I couldn’t see him online inside fs but now with the steam version even though we can both see each others we don’t receive any invite notification.
Another weird thing that I’ve noticed is that even without a group if we both go to the same airport and I check the local players and I click on him it says that he’s my friend but if he does the same I’m not seen as a friend to him even though we both have in each other friends list on both steam and xbox app

kinda, I had to create a new microsoft account
I think it’s probably because the other account played the gamepass version so the xbox multiplayer thinks that my account should only work when playing the microsoft store version
Interesting. Funny, I was just telling my friend we should try to create new accounts.
