Can't launch Simulator

When trying to click on the MFS shortcut, or right click it and run as administrator I get this error

The sim just won’t load. It was working an hour ago for me and now I can’t get past this error. At first it would load the MS Store when I tried to launch the sim but now I just get the error posted above. Are the servers down?

Was there an update? I loaded my library on the ms store and found Microsoft flight simulator showing an update, clicked update and it went away and still getting the error posted above when I try to launch the sim.

Yes, there was an update to accommodate the World Update 7 content.

Great we’ll I can’t download it or load my sim now. Awesome.

What’s stopping your download? Have you checked the MS Store?

Ah, you said it disappeared. Argh.

In the Xbox app it says there is an update available, so I click update and it says error 0% downloaded, so I click where it says error and this is what it takes me to.

Clicking the retry button does nothing

This is the error I get in the MS Store when going to Library

This message generally appears when your drive is getting full.
Is that your issue?

No not even close to full

OK, see this link.
Hopefully it may help.

Try repairing the Sim App within Windows itself, then try again to install. Search for the App and choose the option repair. This might help. Good luck!

None of these suggestions worked. When I go to the app and try to repair the settings screen just loads indefinitely. Within add or remove programs it shows MFS in a ‘loading’ state

I’m now uninstalling and reinstalling the sim … ■■■ Microsoft.

No other game have I ever had this issue with. Their mandatory update breaks my otherwise perfectly working sim. Never had this issue with MFS before. Beyond aggravated right now

After attempting to repair, maybe reboot first before continuing. I’m sorry if this sounds frustrating. I didn’t solve my problem a few Updates ago by going into "programs install or uninstall. It was using the search box in the start menu to search for “Flightsim App”, then mouse right click for the options, then repair option. Otherwise I can’t think of anything else at this stage.

I searched for MFS app in the Start menu search bar, went to settings and that’s where repair would be. But that never loads. Somehow the entire game got corrupted last night when I was first prompted to update. But it didn’t actually prompt me to update, MS store just loaded Everytime I tried to launch the sim and took me to a blank screen within MS store. After rebooting the computer all I get is the error I screen shotted above. That’s where I am today. They broke something with this update I see I’m not the only one with this issue posting in the forum. Hopefully a reinstall will work but I mean my god this is a update process.

I haven’t tried updating my sim yet, I guess I’d rather wait after reading all about these problems here. Maybe check YouTube for a solution, apparently a fix was posted?

Do you have a link to that video?

Possibly this one?

Thank you. Unfortunately I’ve already initiated the reinstall and will now spend all day and night redownloading the app and 7000 updates. Appreciate the help. So frustrated with this right now
