Mine is borked too. It CTD’ed when it got near 100% on the mandatory update download, and now it won’t start. I guess I will pick away at it before reinstalling.
I submitted a ticket and got a form letter type response to try a list of fundamental tasks, i.e. make sure windows is updated, reboot, etc.
I’m almost at the point in the list where it says to reinstall.
Yeah this is a terrible update process. At least you got yours to update before it CTD’d and is now broken. I couldn’t even get that far, somehow the initial attempt to go to the MS Store (this was done automatically by clicking on my MFS icon on the desktop) corrupted the entire program, which is insane for the update not even installing. IDK how they screw these updates up so badly time after time after time after time. Really horrible for a company like MS to have this kind of stuff happen.
All your controls profiles should be saved under your MS account so you shouldnt need to setup that up again, but reinstalling all your sceneries (if you’ve bought any from the marketplace) will take a while.
I had the same problem. Did a new install and it installed over 150 GB on my hard drive. Before that it hardly took up any space except in AppData. I went from 783 GB to 638 GB on my HD.
I reinstalled and its working now, but it took 6 hours and a ton of bandwidth just to get my once perfectly working sim back up and running just to install an Australia update…
