Can't Load MSFS!

I’m really hoping someone can help me. I have been going through a living hell for the past three years with this simulator. I install the sim, along with my addons via Addons Linker, and the sim runs fine…for about two weeks. At that point, I get the “Essential Files needed to run the sim” message, and I’m prompted to close the sim. When I look into my “Official” folder, I notice that all my .jason and manifest files associated with every one of the folders in the Official folder, are all gone. The folders are all there, but the jason, and manifest files are gone. Now I have to uninstall the Sim, and then reinstall. And for another two weeks it runs fine , and then out of nowhere, all the files are gone again leaving me helpless with no option other than to uninstall, and reinstall all over again. It then is good for another two weeks before it happens all over again. This is pure hell! I submitted a ticket many times with Microsoft Support, and all they tell me to do is try loading in the “Vanilla” state. That doesn’t work and they still can’t explain to me how or why I keep losing these json, and manifest files. Is there something that I’m doing wrong? Is there anyone that can help me, because for the last three years, Microsoft Support hasn’t been able to tell me anything. Would sure be a lifesaver if anyone could explain why I keep having these files disappear.

Have you tried the following:

“You are missing packages that are essential to run Microsoft Flight Simulator” error message

LINK

The message “you are missing packages that are essential to run Microsoft Flight Simulator” appears when mandatory packages did not install correctly. The missing packages should be available and ready to be installed manually in the Content Manager.

  1. Go to Profile>Content Manager
  2. Go to Not Installed
  3. Then check under Update available
  4. Install/Update the content

If the problem persists, delete the folder ‘WGS’

  1. Close Microsoft Flight Simulator
  2. Navigate to the folder WGS located by default here:
  • C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData
  1. Delete the folder WGS
  2. Launch Microsoft Flight Simulator again

Thank you. This would be just fine if I can get in the sim. Remember, I can’t open the sim in the first place because of the problem. When I uninstall, and then reinstall, then I’m able to go to the Content Mgr and download everything (which takes about 2 hrs) And yes, I’ve deleted the “WGS” folder, and that doesn’t seem to do anything. I honestly don’t know what is the problem. Why it runs fine at first, and then after a couple weeks, isn’t able to load. Is it a memory issue? Is it a graphics card issue? I don’t have the best specs, but I don’t have the worst either. Could inferior hardware cause this to happen? I wouldn’t think so. I plan to update all my hardware soon. Just can’t understand how this is happening to me. Super mysterious!
