Maybe I’m missing something very obvious, but I can’t seem to open a saved project that I started earlier today. I’m trying to improve one of the stock airports and was following a tutorial on how to place everything in the Scenery Editor when MSFS crashed. Annoying, but I’d saved my progress a short time before that and figured I could just relaunch and open the project again. When I try that the only thing that happens in the Project Editor window opens, and everything is greyed out.
Did I miss something about saving or loading a project?
Did you click on the far left of the dev menu at the top and go to open project
- select the xml folder in the project folder
- click on the blue writing in the project editor box
-The Edit project box should pop up,
- click on edit then load in your project and continue editing.
Turns out I’d just forgotten to make a package right at the beginning. Added that and now it’s good.

Cool glad you sorted it, make sure to save regularly, if it keeps crashing just re-install the sdk.
I was having fair few crashes with the latest build of the sdk. Not sure if re-installing it fixed it or cos I lowered the terrain level of detail slider back down to where had it before was having crashes, haven’t had one since.
I actually just downloaded the SDK and re-installed it because I think I might have still had the old version. I’ll keep compulsively saving every time I change something, but hopefully it’ll be stable now.
