Hey im having an issue that i can not select IFR in the EFB for Creating flights its stuck in VFR has anyone else had the same issue i have not done a flight yet due to this issue and its effecting my Fenix A320 as it wont give Depatures or arrivals just nothing only runway ??

You need to “Send to Avionics” from the EFB or “Send To EFB” from the Avionics individually for one to reflect the other when it comes to flight planning.
Basically, if you do the Flight Plan in the EFB that means nothing to the plane you are flying unless you “Send to Avionics” because it won’t be in the Garmin.
And if you do the Flight Planning VIA the plane instruments, it will not be shown in the EFB or recorded on the EFB map until you “Send to EFB”.
You also need to “Send To ATC” before the IFR option becomes available.
Note: When doing IFR, you currently also have to dial in the frequency for the Localizer as well as manually manage the Glideslope before the plane will auto-land which is a nuisance.
I personally do not even like the EFB.

Changing between VFR and IFR is done on the second tab, the one with the clipboard icon. But that doesn’t help you out here, because if there is only a VFR pattern shown for departure or arrival, that simply means that this runway doesn’t have any published instrument procedures, so even in IFR you would still have to do a visual approach.

Yes, that shows exactly what I said: You can switch your flight plan to IFR, but as the runways don’t support instrument procedures, you still have to take off and approach under visual rules (you can open your flight plan once in the air, and ATC will request you to close it when near your destination). These 2 things are not connected in any way: IFR or VFR only influence the behavior of ATC, but don’t magically create instrument procedures where there are none IRL. You could also do the opposite and file a VFR flight and use SID, STAR and IFR waypoints all the way, but that is still no IFR flight.
EDIT: I just now realised which airports you use and that they indeed have instrument procedures. Normally you will already see them even if your flight plan is set to VFR, that’s what has thrown me off. Are there other airports where you have more than the VFR patterns, or are all airports the same? Do you use the built-in AIRAC, or have you imported it from Navigraph?
Hello. Last week same happened to me. I can not plan ifr naymore.
I also noticed that when im in career mode, passenger transport missions are vfr as ifr can not be planned. Another one is when i take off i could always request flight following in vfr, not this option is not appearing anymore. I have not installed or removed anything so that caused this mess. Is there any solution yet?
i have the complete opposite issue. cannot change from ifr to vfr
now stuck no matter what i do in efb it stays in ifr. been like this for 2 days now.
see i couldn’t do IFR and i have an issue with default aircraft like A330 or any airliner i can get departures or arrivals sids or stars and it sucks i have not done a flight im back on 2020

Hey folks, I’m also having this issue. Since the last few days, in career medium cargo or VIP Charter missions using the PC-12 or PC-24, I can no longer select any kind of precision approach using the EFB either before or during the flight.
I can see them in the charts (if available) but the only option in the EFB is the VFR patterns, and in the avionics I can only see the visual approaches even if there are supposed to be IFR etc.
Seems like the navigation database has been corrupted maybe?
Running on two different PC installs and are seeing the same on both.
Using the release build - so not the SU2 beta.
Would love to hear if anyone has fixed the issue?
