Can't set weather presets

Hi,
Today I opened up the sim and I find that I can only select Live Weather.

I can’t choose any presets or create custom weather, it’s all greyed out.

I have tried disabling and re-enabling everything under Data in the options menu, to no avail, as well as restarting the sim.

Might give this a try: If you had “live weather” turned on in the “data” options, and “live players” turned on in the “flight conditions”, make sure after you turn off “live weather” in the “data” option, you click on “all players” in the “flight conditions” and wait a little bit. The weather options should then change back to where you can click on the “preset” or “custom” boxes and then be able to make changes if using the “custom” box. Hope that works for you. Regards

So… what fixes this is turning ON Multiplayer specifically in the options menu.

Having it set like this will disable custom weather and weather presets. Is this a bug? I can’t see why on earth having multiplayer off would mean I can’t set up my own weather!

To recreate, set up your Data options like in the screenshot, and you won’t be able to choose preset or customer weather, only live weather.

EDIT this only happens if you have previously had Live weather set to on in the map menu, and then turn off Multiplayer, see this bug report:

Are you using Developer Mode or made changes in it? Makes no difference whether enabled or disabled. Have you disabled/removed all your mods and addons? What is going on?

If you’re reporting bug or asking for help it’s important to provide a full screenshot, not just a snippet. In this case, we need to know whether “live players” or “all players” was selected as this makes a significant difference.

Additionally, if you’ve ever selected “live players”

and turned off multiplayer in the data settings, you won’t be able to select a weather profile due to a bug - weather presets greyed-out.

The workaround is to enable multiplayer, apply the changes, then select “all players.”

After that, you can turn off multiplayer again and save changes.

Weather change in flight not possible

Hello, Can someone give me the configuration solution that is needed to have access to the weather in flight? I’ve tried a lot of different settings for the general options of Flight Simulator 2020 without ever being able to get access to the weather in the menu bar. The weather button is always grayed out. However, when the game launches a flight which seems by default (Courchel France) the Weather tab is accessible! Did you have the same problem? What to do ?
