Brief description of the issue:
Can’t use pause menu because after resume the plane crashes. I can’t save/load a flight, I can’t put the game in pause, in which way may have a long flight? I speak about Pause menu, NOT active pause, NOT developer pause as something wrote (but my topic was closed)
Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:
During a flight with autopilot on A310-300 (full F-PLAN configured in FMC) if game is paused the airplane is uncontrollable after game is resumed
Specs and/or peripheral set up if relevant:
XBOX Series X, operating system build version 10.0.22621.2864
Keyboard, Mouse, Gamepad and Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas One
Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:
1.29.30.0

Hi @ionic81
issues like these are normally related to having duplicate binds. I see you’ve already made a profile for your xbox controller where you removed the control surfaces from the sticks. Edit that profile more to remove all flight related controls.
Also check that there are no duplicate binds in the profile of your hotas.

Hello @ionic81,
Can you confirm that this happens only on the A310 or does this happen on other aircraft as well?
Can you fully close the sim, disconnect all peripherals, start it back up with only an Xbox controller and see if the issue persists?
After many tries maybe I found the root cause: disabling autopilot before pausing the game stops the random input on primary control surfaces during resume

No
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
I tried with nothing plugged into my Xbox Series S besides the Xbox controller, and it worked fine. I tried plugging in my Turtlebeach Flightstick, and the A310 flew just fine both on and off autopilot, before and after pausing the sim.

Could you try to fly with only the Xbox controller connected, nothing else?

I was just about to suggest the AP. Some systems don’t appear to actually be paused so the AP continues to trim in that frozen state. When you come out of pause the plane will go into a dive or a climb, and would need to be retrimmed. I’ve never seen this myself, but I can see a scenario where you have realistic damage turned on, and you overstress the airframe too quickly for you to re-trim, and gain control.
