I can’t write plural in the Forum, for example Aircraft-s, the ‘‘s’’ is getting automatically deleted as soon as I write it together.
It’s really annoying and I can’t figure out if this is a Forum bug or if I’m doing something wrong.

Aircraft Aircraft
aircraft
Looks to be a forum bug, seeing the same. If you edit you can see the S on the end
Topic moved into General Discussion.
The word “aircraft” is singular and also plural. There should be no “s” on the end of it. There are a few words that the forum will “autocorrect”.
ok thank you, so this is an autocorrection feature?
And my english is just bad ![]()
Correct. ![]()

Was this feature implemented after the famous “Aircraft with an S” appeared on a startup splash screen after an update? ![]()
I think it was! As well as “hovercraft” (no “s”). ![]()
Just curious as to whether the possessive “s” would work. Let’s try: the aircraft’s tail fell off.
That seems to work.
Edit: what about the plural possessive? These aircraft’ tails.
That doesnt work.
The plural possessive of aircraft is aircraft’s. That’s because aircraft is already plural.
Ah you spotted my deliberate mitsake!
“Turbulences” is another one that will autocorrect. (I disabled it temporarily to write this.)
Yes but if it’s a collection of different types of turbulence the ‘s’ is appropriate.
Ingerlisch ain’t easy innit.
I don’t know if there are any cases of it being used in that way in the forums, but there are many cases of it being used the other way.
By the way, your English is great! I wish I spoke German as well as you speak English.
Similarly, aircraft-with-an-s is a perfectly valid way to refer to a collection of different types of aircraft. In fact, most mass nouns can be used in this way, if it is contextually correct.
