ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
Pushback pushed into building and crashed plane causing millions in damage.

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
No mods.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Intermittent. Last occurrence was at Sea Tac.
I’ve seen this several times.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

1.Spawn career 737.
2.Request pushback.
3.Get pushed into building. Crash.

Description of the issue:

Sometimes on passenger missions in career mode when you receive the pushback from the truck it can push you into a building resulting in your plane crashing

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

It isn’t rare maybe 1/10 flights

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Load into passenger mission

  2. Follow normal steps and request pushback

  3. Sometimes you might get pushed into a buildings hitbox and get the “You crashed your aircraft” page

Bring up the communication window and you can request pushback stop.

That will work but sometimes you don’t have space or just don’t notice

We do not believe this report to be a bug if you have not correctly stopped the pushback by not noticing the surrounding space in the area you are wishing to pushback.

We’ve moved this thread to the User Support Hub > User Interface & Activities category based on recent comments in this thread.

The AI should stop by itself and i’m sure in real life it is not your job to tell the operator of the vehicle to stop

I would say technically it’s a bug because the pilot cannot see what’s behind them in real life.

Unfortunately this does not meet the criteria for something that may be a bug within the simulator, as Microsoft Flight Simulator is not able to replicate every single other role in aviation apart from a pilot for the user. It is up to the player to check their surroundings and stop the push back when necessary, as it is only yourself as the user who is functioning in the simulator. There are 3rd party products such as GSX by FSDreamTeam, with community created airport profiles, which may help in this scenario, however this addon is only available for PC. As mentioned above, these reports do not meet the criteria for a bug as they are by design for the simulator.
