Career difficulty options. (to keep everyone happy)

i would like to suggest the ability to choose difficulty with in career mode.

i have a new born baby and unfortunately don’t have the time to play career like i’m an actual pilot. i am lucky to get 1 hour max before my baby is awake again while im doing the dreaded night feeds. but i like the idea of running a company in career mode etc.

The fact that career does not affect anybody else at this time we as a player should be allowed to play as we see fit. as the VFR map teleport has been fixed/patched this update there for i am being forced to play how microsoft/Asobo want me to. i happily purchased the collectors edition for this game and i would like my hard earned money to allow me to do what i want when i want and how i want to do it.

therefor i would like to suggest the following options.

  1. employee commission to be lowered - to allow for faster earning when, stuck or starting a new career. don’t forget you set the age rating to allow for younger people to play this game. pretty sure your younger audience would prefer not to spend hours and hours trying to unlock another plane. (because i don’t)

  2. allow for realism settings to be tweaked - for example, being able to disable crash damage / aircraft stress effects. i have already seen a few of my friends struggling as they are brand new to flight simulators / games. it is a steep learning curve for people just starting off (some have already uninstalled). therefor allowing players to select how hard things will be for them would be a good idea, again also think of your younger audience.

  3. being able to choose economy difficulty - an example of this for me would be farming simulator. being able to choose an option on how much money you make as well as how much for maintenance on aircraft. for example

“optional check box when starting a career mode”
new career jump start - 5x mission pay after unlocking your first company for 20 missions (then permanently locked unless career is restarted)

“difficulty options”
easy - 3x mission pay + 2x passive income & 50% less for maintenance

medium - 1.5x mission pay + 1.25x passive income & 25% less maintenance

hard - 1.25x mission pay + 1.1x passive income & 10% less maintenance

realistic - 1.0x mission pay + 1x passive income & 100% of maintenance

  1. ability to disable insurance (self explanatory)

  2. make your co-pilot more useful with things such as - automatic ATC responding, auto gear up after lift off, help with checklists when landing and or taxi, because at this point your co-pilot is useless.

  3. instead of just adding money to your account, i would like to suggest a “loan” system, as your level gets higher the bigger the loan you may take out.
this would be an option for those realistic players who may get into difficulty when having a bad landing etc. paid back similar to how insurance works every 24 hours.

  4. the ability to disable negative performance - no more flap over speed, no more, hard landing, no more missed entering taxiway with out permissions. (enabling these options will disable the rep system)

  5. ability to skip tutorial and start a career with some aircraft and an already established company - this will be limited to only flightseeing and light cargo only, you start the career with an already owned plane (C172) and PPL / commercial certification completed.

final note, before anybody comments “free fly is a thing” this is so people can enjoy the career mode at a pace that suites them.

I 100 % agree with you. I have an 8 hour job. How do u expect me to unlock the airbus beluga for over 300mill?? Literally impossible except u spent ur life on the computer. And what they also should add is that the crew that u can hire actually makes some money for u cuz its useless right now. U get ex: 20k from ur crew and pay 21k in insurance or something like that. Makes no sense at all

I completely agree with this since things have been “patched” & the same individual is now complaining about simrate too.

Didi they take away sim rate too? Didn’t try it yet after update.

this would be so welcome.
i was using the teleport because the bugs in this game crashed 2 of my planes, resulting in over 3 million worth of damages, and im back in a cessna.
the game is litterally just a chore at this point, and ive lost the will to play.

the game is singleplayer and you have no advantage over others by tweaking/speed increase or even teleporting, and they should just put it back in.

I think the framework is already there. MS/Osobo just needs to make “1 star” vs the higher star mission means something. Integrate some of your thoughts into the “star” system. Perhaps in “1 star” missions, you can set the weather, the fuel, the aircraft takes less damage/wear and tear and it pays out less. Whereas a “4 star” mission might have a fixed amount of fuel to test your ability to fly by the numbers, the weather would be more challenging, strict adherance to flight procedures, and damage/wear and tear would be 1.25, and it pays out more.

that still wont make it “easyer” for the casuals im afraid.

It’s not a game, it’s a realistic flight sim. If you don’t have the time to fly, play something else!

That is a very non-constructive comment. I would like every level of player to enjoy our hobby. I see nothing wrong with the sim having levels of engagement/reality/simulation. Full blow simulation to simplified simulation.

Nope, find yourself some other title to simplify, not flight sim…

There needs to be settings so one can adjust the game to the abilities/needs.
Asobo needs to take a good hard look at Ark Survival Evolved.
I can tell you one thing if Asobo dont relax My career mode I wont be playing it.
Plane 400,000 Job 20,000 5h flight do the math ,Asobo your off your rocker.

Ark isn’t a flightsim…

Very important suggestion. i would like easy difficulty to enjoy just missions without the bureaucracy of simming, not to mention grinding or losing planes. very cool if there was simmer mode, casual mode, regular mode, so all can be happy indeed. iam too very limited in time in which i can spend in the sim, so why to not to make your time completely worth it for everyone. i guess you should put that in the whishlist suggestions, if no one already did.

No one uses a thing the same way, there are many uses and interests even for dedicated stuff.

not degrading, making choices for everyone, you have your stuff, others as well.

Career is not realistic at all. There is no emphasis put on flight planning or on proper procedures. The missions are nothing more than “fly from point A to point B with a few ATC triggered presses on the ENTER key”. Automatic start-up and shut-down are the default.

Passively sitting behind a screen does nothing to improve the immersion of the game. The game should be enjoyable to as many paying customers as possible with the flexibility to allow each person to play as they see fit as long as it doesn’t hurt other players. Direct competition like Red Bull Racing should be tightly controlled, but single player non-competitive gameplay should be as broadly engaging as possible.

What is difficult about understanding that the sim would have full simulation/realism to simplified simulation. In fact, that is would hook for folks for the hobby. Bring them in with the simplified simulation, they love it, and then want more realism. This would actually booster the hobby.

I would say that career is right for 1 star missions, but by the time you are flying 4 star missions, it should be full realism.

That wasnt the point. The point was ark went through the same thing.
Not liked at first than they started listening to the community and now
its a AAA title. I have over 4000 hrs in ark and i still play it, why you
ask simple i can play it the way i want.

does not seem to be 100% the same, 2 presses killed my caravan.
